ALASKA AIRLINES ADDS SECOND DAILY FLIGHT BETWEEN HELENA AND SEATTLE BEGINNING MAY 21, 2020
Alaska Airlines will begin a second daily flight in between Helena and Seattle on May 21, 2020. The existing mid afternoon flight will also remain in place. The times of the two daily flights will be as follows:
Depart Helena to Seattle 7:00 a.m. (arrives in Seattle at 7:55 a.m. Pacific Time); Arrives in Helena From Seattle at 3:10 p.m.
Departs back to Seattle at 3:50 p.m.; Arrives in Helena at 11:59 p.m. to overnight here in Helena.

A group of Helena Community Leaders including the Airport Authority, Montana Business Assistance Connection, Helena Chamber of Commerce and Convention Visitors Bureau, Helena Tourism Alliance, and Sixel Air Service Consulting met with Alaska Airlines in September to continue working on the effort to get the second daily flight in place. The quest to obtain more flights is a continual endeavor. In the last few months, a group of Helena Community Leaders including the Airport Authority, Montana Business Assistance Connection, Helena Chamber of Commerce and Convention Visitors Bureau, Helena Tourism Alliance, and Sixel Air Service Consulting group have visited with 10 different airlines to explore future opportunities for expanded Helena air service. Air service recruitment is a community effort. Please consider using flights in Helena to ensure they are successful and help foster additional opportunities. Attracting new service today is very challenging, and expensive and requires community support.

IT’S TIME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THE MONTANA REAL ID
October 1, 2020 will be here before you know it! Montana driver licenses do not meet the federal “REAL ID” standards. However, domestic travelers will not be required to meet those standards until October 1, 2020. Domestic travelers must have a new Montana REAL ID driver’s license or a passport for all air travel after the October 1, 2020 deadline.
